Best spaghetti meatballs with focaccia and burrata I've had in a while, and I am Italian! Desserts are huge and super satisfying, service is impeccable, efficient, respectful and friendly: 5 stars out of 5 for our lovely waiter Erick! Fair prices, high quality and the quantity is exceeding expectations <3 Absolutely coming back to Old John's when I am back to NY. The only regret? My friend and I discovered this amazing place on our last day in the city!!!

In my humble opinion, this is what a diner should be. Simple, easy, casual, great selection of diner foods- sandwiches (hot and cold), soup, salads, lots of appetizers for when you just want to grab a quick bite. I love that it still has the old style and even some outdoor booths with individual enclosures. Will definitely be back many times.

An absolute neighborhood staple. I love this place for breakfast/brunch and dinner! These pictures are from a Sunday night visit with my husband. The kale salad was refreshing and a good size…we shared it as an app. For dinner, I had the rigatoni pasta which was delicious. My husband really liked the burger. The lemon meringue pie was tart and the perfect dessert! The red wine was also really nice!

Impeccable. Delicious. Will visit again for certain. French dip was great. Would like real cheese, but oh the bread makes it!! Do not pass up on desserts.

Cute NYC diner style restaurant. Food seemed a bit more elevated than diner food. Good quality and average prices for NYC. Fair amount of seating indoor and outside.

I can't resist sharing our delightful experience at this diner! The chicken and turkey club sandwiches were truly exceptional, packed with flavorful ingredients and served on perfectly toasted bread. The burger was juicy and super delicious , while the western omelette was a delightful blend of eggs, cheese, peppers, and ham. The diner's cozy ambiance added to the overall enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend visiting this place for a delicious and satisfying meal that will leave you craving more!

This was a good spot for dinner for some weary museum goers. I wasn't in the mood for anything heavy so had the deviled eggs and a small salad. My daughter enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs while my husband had the chicken pot pie. All were solid choices. The service was fine. The ambiance was okay.

The food here is better than standard diner fare. We had the patty melt, onion rings, and turkey club. The onion rings are lightly battered and seem house made. The turkey is piled high and the ciabatta bread is a nice way to elevate a club sandwich. The patty melt hit the spot despite being a little on the greasy side. We didn't experience any of the service hiccups that some mention. Currently they are expanding into the space next door so I'm curious to see how that pans out.
